Hi there, i've recently put a 2ltr engine in my Si. now i need better brakes!!! what is there out there that i can bolt straight on? if anything..

im looking at mondeo v6 brakes? or even 4x4 cosworth brakes?

can anyone help me?

id go for cosworth ones mate if u can get a set from a granada cosworth exactly the same and will probably be cheaper :) all you would need is longer bolts and some washers :)

wouldn't bother with cosworth brakes mate

get yourself to scrap yard, you want front calipers and carriers off a mk3 mondeo.
then get yourself some ST170 front disks 300mm
drill the mounting holes on the hub to 12mm(IIRC)
fit brakes and bleed system
no spacers needed
300mm front brakes, the easy way

£20 for calipers.
£40 for st170 discs.
£20 for mk3 mondeo pads.

£80 vs.... COSWORTH parts hmm

Bigger brakes, newer, and without the pricetag of cosworth parts.. and not being a sheep like every other fiesta owner.

If you use mondeo mk1/2 calipers eg. 2.0ltr or V6 ones you need to drlll the hubs out to 12mm and use the mondeo bolts, the discs will need spacing out 3mm using washers. And maybe shorten the mondeo bolts, I cant remember it was so long ago.

MK3 Mondeo Calipers and Focus ST170 discs, again the hubs need to be drilled to 12mm, use the mondeo bolts.. and again might have to shorten them. Nothing needs spacing out for this setup.
Although you will struggle to find anything smaller than 16" wheels to fit over them.

Cossie conversion, never did it myself but as far as I am aware its basically the same as the mk1/2 mondeo setup, drill out the hubs, space the discs out etc

MK6 Escort Brake Servo, all you need to do is undo all the brake lines off your current servo, undo the clip which holds the brake bar onto the servo, un bolt the 4 13mm's to remove you fiesta servo.
You need to shorten and weld the rod on the escort servo 19mm shorter (i think its 19mm) and then refit. You will need to drill the holes out wider on the back of the escort servo as they sit a little ofset compared to the fiesta one.

Beware, escort servo = mental brakes.

I used the 300mm mondeo/focus setup, and rs2000 rear discs with escort servo and I only had to touch the pedal and I would lock up all 4 wheels!! :lolz:
