is it possible to replace a silvertop cylinder head with a later black top cylinder head which has solid lifters? and is the 1.8 head different to the 2litre? |

Not sure on the blacktop head swap... but to be honest I cant see why not. I'm sure ive seen a blacktop st170 head on a silvertop bottom end. 1.8 vs 2.0 head. A 1.8 head on a 2.0ltr bottom end will raise the compression ratio abit. So that would be ideal for you as your n/a with throttle bodies

It will fit. Just bare in mind, 1, what paul said, 2, tensioner pulley/belt arrangement is different. |
