Been offered a splitter at a good price although has a bit of damage....just wondering how easy it would be to fix? 1st bit: ![]() Doesn't look to have cracked all the way through form other pictures i've got.....some filling and smoothing required? 2nd bit: ![]() Again i'm guessing just some filling and smoothing needed? 3rd bit: ![]() This i'm guessing could be solved by attatching it to my bumper then adding filler to get a smooth curve before sanding? Would this work or is it more complicated than that? |

in the same boat mate, my old splitters got cracks etc like yours.. Iam going to get some fiberglass repair stripes and reinforce it from the inside, then either use body filler or fibreglass filler to patch chips and cracks on the front. Try either halfords or ebay. |

cheers fellas Don't think mines got any cracks all the way through...that one on the corner i might stuff some cut up fibreglass strips into with the glue stuff, and will use some fibreglass compound filler stuff to sort the cracks, i'm guessing this is the right stuff: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ISOPON-P40-100ML- ... dZViewItem Anyway, i bought the splitter and got it for the bargain price of £40 delivered when replicas are £135 + P&P new, it should look a little like this when on the car, although i will be customising the bumper a little: ![]() Just need to source a cheap front bumper so i can do a little project and spend time on it, although it may be difficult when members of the car club dont seem to be near to me ![]() |
