i have: si mounts escort 1.8 g'box 1.1hcs g'box cradle but the 3 wont fit together! i can get the mounts on the 'box, the mounts on the cradle, but they wont in anyway shape or form fit on the cradle when the gearbox. so i'm i using the wrong cradle? or will the escort gearbox not do? ps if any 1 has a pic of a si cradle it'd be appreciated. pps i know there is an extra hole at the rear of the si cradle |

they are different as i found out the rs turbo is different from the si your parts should fit ok if you got the si cradle it should all fit together nicely, as your running zetec gearbox and mounts |

na, no chance of it fitting m8, its almost like the gearbox is too wide or the cradle is not deep enough if u know what i mean? |

![]() see where ive marked its like it would need to be a couple of inches longer to allow the gearbox to drop in. |

got a picture of the gearbox in question?. front or rear mount starter. cradle goes on back mount first then the front if its already in the car it can be a bit of a pig if the mounts are new as they wont be as flexible as the old ones. altho i am failing to see why the generic gearbox casing and mounts as in the casings and mounting blocks are all the same wont fit a generic gearbox cradle. |

the cradle defo is'nt generic, atleast not betwen my 1.1hcs and the si ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i have since removed the escort mount from the gearbox here is some pics of the mounts on the cradle Terry send me a few weeks back when i bought teh mounts from him ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() u can see where the cradle bolts onto the chasis that on mine the cradle runs along 3 inches or so before dropping, where on the si the gap is around 1 inch then drops. |

i beleive im correct in saying that top cradle is specific to the si and no other varient use's it, ive checked other mk3.5 and non had it, they alll had the same as mine (mk3), so i reckon its only made for the zetec engined fezz. or should that be zetec gearbox'd fezz. |
