Post subject: | New Si, couple of little problems to get fixed..... |
Hi guys, Picked up the Si on Wednesday and drove her back up to Aberdeen from Doncaster... no drama's or problems ![]() So, on the way up I noticed a few little things that I'm going to have to fix but just want to check I'm looking at the right things to fix it before I go splashing the cash!! 1) Temperature gauge - When driving it barely goes into the Norm section. But when stopped in traffic it will quickly go up to just above the O and the fan will come on. Am I right in thinking that this is likely to be the Temperature gauge sender that's faulty? 2) Car is pulling to one side ever so slightly, and when accelerating it is worse. Certain this is the lower wishbones so going to replace them both this weekend. Will let you know if it is anything other than that! 3) Clutch pedal - When taking my foot off of the clutch every so often I hear a plasticky click from the pedal. I seem to recall this from my last Fiesta being the clutch pedal auto adjuster quadrant thing that needs replaced. Does that sound about right? Don't want to go through the ball ache of doing it if I dont have to ![]() 4) Heated rear window - Sometimes when I try and put it on the light doesn't light up straight away but eventually comes on. Is this likely to be a dodgy relay controlling it? If so, any ideas which one under the dash it is? 5) When I go over bumps I hear what sounds like the bootlid squeaking - any ideas how to stop this other than a huge dose of WD-40? 6) Speaker sizes - The speakers in it are either Ford originals or goosed cheapo's!! What sizes are the front and back OEM speakers? Not wanting to go down the 6x9 route, just want nice components all round!! Think that's about it for just now. Hopefully you can either confirm my suspicions or send me down a different path to make my new car feel as good to me as I remember them being!! Cheers Paul ![]() |
