Need to bend a bit of stainless rod which is an exhaust hanger on a backbox.....would it be possible to heat it with a blow torch then bend it over 90 degrees with a pair of mole grips? If not any ideas how? |

if you can heat it all the better, but if just normal stainless rod should be able to bend it once at 90degrees cold, put it in a vice and then slide onto it a decent piece of tube for increased leverage and bend it over. if its just a hanger can make it out normal mild steel which will still mig weld onto a stainless exhaust ok. (not mank stainless exhausts have stainless steel hanger) |

I prosume its just normal stainless steel? Its just a custom backbox thing. Right i'll get it in a vice then and try find a bit of pipe to bend it over after heating it a bit. cheers for the info |
