ive put a 1992 rs1800 engine and ecu in my 1995 fiesta si the engine turns over but does not fire (dont have a spark) ive tried 3 different coil packs and the plugs and leads are new. im using the si wiring loom from the ecu. would not using the external edis rs1800 loom cause the engine not to fire ? |

Sounds like the same problems I'm having mate.I'm sure your problem is much easier to solve than mine. When you click on the ignition do you get a flashing red light on the clock? If it contantly flashes it means your exturnal pats module is the wrong one so you are imobilised. If the light goes on then off you are good to go. Also in the passenger foot well theres a black box with a red circle button on the top. This is the inertia switch.you want the button to be pressed in to allow the fuel pump to prime and send fuel to the engine. Hope I have been of some help. |

is the RS1800 ecu internal edis or external? IIRC you need a 'CULT' ecu to work on the fiesta Si, internal EDIS loom |
