My Si which I've just bought came with 2 identical black keys. The only locks they undo are the drivers door, the petrol cap and of course work the ignition. Does this mean they've been changed at some point? I'd like to get them all working if possible. It's a little annoying when I get back to the car with shopping and can't put it straight in the boot, instead having to go in through the driver's door and press the remote boot release button. |

has your car been twoc'ed in the past? my mates fiesta has a different key for each door and ignition, he thought it was normal! we did a hpi and someone had attepmted to steal it! you may just have dodgy latches mine have gone twice, each time unable to open them with a key, with the door, take the trim off, take the white cover off the latch, there should be a small spring which unables unlocking, this is prone to breaking, if you cant see one, feel inside the door itself! if the spring has broken, get one off the scrappy for free and refit! as for the boot.... dont know, take the trim off the inside, stick ya key in and have a good wiggle while observing. as you have a boot pop the boot relase should have 2 metal bars going to the latch, one from the pop and one from the key barrel, check they are both present! thats all the advice i can give! ![]() oh yeah, do you have your red master key as well?? |
