Get some autoglym intensive tar and bug remover. This stuff is ace when used properly, and it'll get all the left over sticky stuff off afterwards.
But to start with, try some fishing line, hook it behind the badge and use it to cut through the sticky back. It may help to warm it up with a hairdryer first to soften the adhesive. Then generously apply the AG T&B remover and let it soak for a couple of minutes. Use a cloth to wipe with a bit of force and you'll notice a layer of the stuff come off almost like a lump of snot

Give it as many applications as it takes.
I done this recently when chaging the wing on my Pulsar, had to get the bump strip off which was stuck solid and found the T&B remover to do the best job without the need for a blade by the paintwork
