right. for some reason my brain can't quite comprehend it. so i think i'll ask you guys... i've changed my wheels from Lenso's to Escort Gti alloys and i couldn't get my centre caps to fit over the aftermarket nuts i had. i went to ford and bought some standard nuts and locking nuts to replace them with to solve this problem. now my question is...IF i put spacers on then will i have the above problem again? the difference in size on the nuts wasn't huge.... also, if anyone has Escort Gti wheels how much have they spaced there wheels out? they sit a little to inside the arches for my liking. cheers |

Spacers will sit the wheels out further from the hub therefor you will have slightly less thread to wind the wheel nut onto. Does that help? |

i had GTi wheels on my fez, i had the same issue with locking wheels nuts, so after swapping about with a few locking wheel nuts in halfords car park ![]() i then fitted cossie brakes and had to space my wheels out 6mm, as said above i lost some thread but never had an issue with my centre caps never spaces the rear out tho ![]() i'll get a pic of my wheel nuts tonight for you to show you which i had, if need be you can have mine for the cost of postage, get a refund on your new ones ![]() |
