ive just been to test drive my si after dropping the 1.8 in, drives fine but the temp gauge wont register, any ideas what could cause this? |

Temp sender located on the bottom of the the thermostat housing |

cheers ill shoot up the motor factors and grab one ![]() would this control the fan as well? |

Nope, coolant fan is separate switch on side of rad. |

nice one cheers for that... ive swapped both sensors over now. while idling the fan doesnt kick in much before the 3/4 mark, if not slightly higher, then it only stays on for 5 seconds! surely that cant be right? |

i think that sounds about right too me, but then again i haven't heard a fiesta fan kick in for a while ![]() ![]() mine never use to stay on for long either, my cossie one stays on for an age, not soo good! ![]() |

sounds like the one on my rst, that kicked in at 2/3rd's but stayed on a good 45 seconds ![]() |
