have all you who have taken their ISCV valves off to clean always put a new gasket on when refitting? just wondering as mine looks in good nick but it is still attached to the inlet manifold once i removed the valve i know the gaskets are not an expensive item but is it worth a new one? |

i have to confess and say no as mine luckily always came off in one bit and still attached to the iscv so i just left it on, cleaned it and refitted it

When I did mine (not that it made any difference, whatsoever) I went to fords quick before hand, £1.60 so I just thought I might as well just incase. |

i think so when i cleaned mine and becks' i left them to stand for 5mins +- then re sprayed them again leaving them for 5mins+- and they didn't come out spotless, but i think it removed some of the shit inside where you cant really see

yeah i gave them a good soaking of carb cleaner and a brush down inside plus went through quite a few cotton buds. quite a noticable difference from when it first came off the car though and it does seem to move better now |
