well i was going to say new ford ones would be fine, but i don't see how 8mm magnecors will cause a problem, no need for 8.5mm in my book, people feel free to correct me

Hi im looking to buy a set of magnecor leads, and was wondering which are better to get? I have a Mk4 1.4si with severall engine mods, are the 8.5mm leads worth getting over the 8mm? Just looking for some advice really |

i ran them on my old EFI 1.6 Cabby Xr3i and there was no "performance" difference but it idled better. Take from that what you will

well the 1.4 isn't ever going to be a fire breathing power house the mods you have done will have unlocked some power and un doubtedly made it more responsive unless you get headwork and cams or something carazy like twin 40/45's i'm unsure you will unlock much more power

yeah it has made a huge difference, drives very nice. Thankyou for your advice tho. I think im guna have to save up and get some work done to it =], have you got any subtle styling tips or websites to look at? Dont want all that huge bodykit stuff just want to make it look a tad sportier =] thanks again mate tobz |

anytime mate Well if your're saving up for work on it, good lad most people would stick a 1.6 CVH in it and go from there but kudos for being differnet  and well i know its common but RS/2i skirts and arches look good on Si's maybe colour coded mirrors and an RST Bonnet maybe a rear light modification but nothing major as OTT ruins the mk3 shape in my book

Thankyou mate Oh sorry ive got the mk4 shape, so not to sure what to do. Its all black but grey bumpers lol not to sure what to do with it, have been trying to decide for weeks and your the only person to kinda help me very much appreciated.

ah i didnt realise  or should i say read it properly  scrap most of that then cams would be good or a ZS engine  and mk4 lets see you could colour code the bumpers and mirrors for a better look nice wheels (if you haven't changed them already) maybe blakc angel eye headlights and thats what i'm here for, its no biggy

Umm its metalic black, yeah was looking to get cams but its twin cam and im looking at £400 lol im guna have to start saving seriously but being at sixth form is tough lol. I was looking to get some subtle bumper spoilers and skirts to just to make it look a bit sportier im not sure. Thankyou mate |

sweet sounds good i know what its like saving another peformance mod would be brakes/suspension to make the most of the engine Ry will agree, Eibach springs  are a worthwile modification and at the end of the day its your car do what you like

For the £400 you would pay for cams, i would probably drop a bigger engine in as a larger egine would respond better to mods and be power powerful from the start |
