Post subject:  running a 2 litre on a 1.6 throttle body
hey i've now completed the 2 litre conversion and i bought from ebay a deep ecu, 2 litre maf and 2 litre throttle body

the throttle body i recieved was a plastic one which im guessing is from the blacktop

does anyone know if this throttle body would work on the silvertop engine or if the 1.6 one will work for now i know it probably wont run perfect but i need the car on the road asap

also if the 1.6 TB will work will i have to use the 1.6 ecu and maf to make it run better or will the 2 litre items work?

i dont think the black top 2.0 TB will work with a silver top zetec engine,not tha i've tried but i think it wont seal correctly,i could be wrong tho :red:

your car will run perfectly fine with a 1.6 TB, i dont think it will be as responsive, you wont need to use the 1.6 ecu or maf either only the 2.0 stuff :thumbsup:

yeah it should work spot on

you'll notice the difference when you do get your 2.0 TB fitted :D
