hello there, i seem to have a problem with the camshaft spocket on removal of the cover the other day i noticed that the rear of the two sprockets i.e the one nearest bulkhead was wobbling it is not loose and it does not appear to have any more play in the bearing than the other any ideas?????? oh and it appears to be running just fine no strange noises

sounds very strange, if the camshaft was bent you'd know about it. i'd get it checked at a garage, the sprocket may have unseated itself (they don't have a woodruff key) and need slackening and putting right.

That does sound very bizzare!!

Would be one of two things I would think, either it has loosened off and the belt is holding it tight, hecne why you can't feel any play in it. Or its buckled, hence why it looks like its wobbling but not loose.

would definatly get it checked at a garage asap as the timing belt going is a sure fire way to kill an engine!!
