on my second si unfortunatly this one does not have the electric pack so no electric boot release and im fitting my smooth boot asap , i took all of the switch and wire i could get from the swith and then the one under the roof lining down to the boot and behind the dash .however had to cut the wires at the dash as they were taped up and impossible to undo.is there anyway to jig a power supple from anywere in the car and connect the switch up and the wires to the solanoid,alternatly is it possible to buy a loom for the boot release and how hard is it to fit ?any help would be much appprechiated chears.

The main loom will already be in your car. If you have a look under the steering wheel just up and under the lip of the dash board you'll find/see/feel a multiplug connector. Now obviously this won't connect to your boot release wiring, because you need the loom which connects to this plug, and runs along your dash to each door. This is for the central locking and electric windows, but in the middle of the loom is a connector for the boot release (along with a stereo connector).

You can go to a scrapyard and fish one out of a Fiesta with electrics. Just bring a couple of screwdrivers as the plugs that fit into the doors from the car can be a pain to remove if they're stuck on with crap

so basically get and electric pack loom and cut it up for the boot release cus not to bothered about havin lecky windows tbh at them minute.cus i have a smoothe boot with the popper in it an i have the switch and tht so just need to cut a loom up then?
