Should be fine! You will obviously need to change all the locks, and program the keys, you could do it yourself with the red master key! |

Any1 else no if they are they same? happypaul? some1 else said the boot lock barrel are different sizes! (mk4-5 are bigger) going to buy the set tuesday if they are correct. steering is playing up now, pulls left or right when hitting bumps in the road. Its had the steering rack replaced but did not solf the issue (replaced due to power steering failure). |

Not sure on the locks, as there are some slight differences in them so it seems. Get down a scrapyard and stick some in your pocket with the keys! If you havent got the red key to reprogram your chip stuff with another key, take the transponder out of the car (from behind the steering column cover) you are taking the key/lockset from and it will work without recoding anything. Your steering.. could be anything from wishbones, track rod ends, tracking, bad camber, balanced wheels, suspension (springs, shocks, top mounts), tyres, bent wheels.. lol. |

Locks should be the same, except the boot lock which is completely different on a mk4/5. As for the steering problem, did you change the rod ends as well as the rack? And have you had the tracking reset? If not I would get the rod ends and the tracking done. If the problem persists then its more than likely your wishbones and that would then be my next job!! |

cheers guys, gunna start with tracking and then replace n/s wishbone (rubber slightly cracked in it). All this free time off work due to the weather is really benefiting my car, getting round to all the little things you ignore when it happens (me being lazy an all). |
