I've got a set of tints for the 3 rear windows in my car and I've done a quick search on here but couldn't find anything on changing them so just wondering if their is any guides about on how to do it, so I don't miss something and cock it up.

also the new windows don't have seals on so will i need new ones or can i get away with using my old ones ?

You want a guide on changing the windows?

Basically, get a flat head screw driver and stick it inbetween the rubber seal and the car body (from the outside of the car), then run the screw driver around the window and pull the window out, helps if you have 2 screw drivers to you dont trap your fingers kinda thing, then evenually, it will just come out and it should come out fairly easy to be honest.

The easiest way to descbribe it is by imagining you are trying to get a bicycle tyre off the rim, you get like a knife or something and run it around the inside of the tyre around the rim dont you.. the same applies to this to be honest!

Fitting is more difficult, but once you done it, piss to do again lol.

Get some string or something, put it on the inside of the seal, place the window inplace at one end, i think placing it in the narrow end first is easier, then push as much of the seal inplace as you can, then go inside the car - the window should stay in place, but to make sure it doesnt drop, try hold it on the outside (hard to explain, but sit like half in and half out the car and stretch your arm to hold the window in place lol) and just pull the string around and if you can, push the window in towards the car a bit, it should all go in place fairly easy. You will figure it out though! lol

And yea, use the old rubber seals unless they are fucked, then just go to ford and get some more for a few quid!

ok mate that should help alot as i had a rough idea anyway and i just found the guide in the haynes manual which helps too lol only realy worried about the back window as iv'e heard it's v easy to break them

I've persoanally never done the back window, only the 2 rear quaters, ive also heard its easy to break them, but, just dont go too mad, take your time over it and it should be ok

I've done the back window mate, just as easy as described above, obviously just be careful and don't force anything, and it will be fine!

Also, don't forget to disconnect the heated rear window connection first and be careful not to snap the fitting off the glass, its pretty delicate

Rubbers can be re-used too.

piece of cake to do the rear screen mate, i cant say what there like to take out as mine was in about 3 billion pieces after some scrote broke into my garage and modified it for me,lol

as siaid tho, put the rubber in , piece of string around the outside edge, insert glass, have someone push from the outside and you slowly pull the string at an angle from the inside

take your time too
