hi all not dealt with my engine in terms of mechanics yet so looking for some help! when i change my cambelt do i want to get a new tensioner? (im thinkin mines probably 10 years old) when i change my cambelt do i want to get any idlers? other bits? I will of course change the aux belt(s) at the same time.. now then: Price? what will a genuine cambelt (kit?? with tensioner?) set me back? Would you go for a genuine or just any old belt? Lastly, how much are uprated cams and does anyone know where i can get hold of some? Thanks Paul |

Personally I buy motorcraft for 95% of my parts as it's all I can really trust. I'd buy Motorcraft cam belt if I were you. http://www.burtonpower.co.uk Try them for cams. You'll need the whole kit as you tend to replace the followers with the cams so they all bed in together. You're looking around ?550 for cams. |
