hey.

had my 4-2-1 manifold fitted today and after 3k theres a huge flat spot that doesnt clear through...

any ideas what it could be?

is the Lambda sensor reconnected corectly and not damaged through fitting? if anything when fitted mine mid range was boosted but lost a bit at the top end +5,500 rmp

might sound daft, but is your maf all working correctly or does it need a clean?

the maf is the first place il be checking... Even tho its been fine before the manifold.

HI Guys
Sorry to awaken an old thread,
did you find out what the problem was in the end?
lambda?
MAF?
something else?

bummer,
i've been having a massive flat spot problem since i changed my cylinder head (last week),
i tried disconnecting maf (that made the car barely run) then took off the lambda, mild difference, then took off the throttle posision sensor (which cured the flat spot but rdeuced the power all round, so i changed the throttle posistion sensor for one off a puma and it solved it for the evening but this cold morning it came back untill the engine warmed up, so possibly cured? but not perfect)

i was hoping someone might of found the problem or a solution i could try, i am thinking i have multiple sensor failures, i wish i knew how to test different sensors,
so far i have worked out that you can test the resistance on a TPS using a multi metre set to 2000k ohms or something (gives a reading of 4.2 fully open).
you can test the lambda with a volt metre and blow torch
dont know how to test the maff i'm guessing multi metre and cold air lol
then there are cam and crank posision sensors how do i test them i wonder lol.
i will cure this flat spot, and reveal my answer for everyone lol.
