Had a slight fire problem (see my thread on members cars) and now here is my problem at the moment..after changing sensors and wiring and trying to set it all up on rs1800 inlet again it wont run tidy! bogs down on acceleration really bad then go's. Sounds like its pinking to me, also under load it struggles really bad but doesn't struggle as bad in neutral . I think it is either the TPS sensor or the MAF sensor which is throwing the air/fuel ratio off...! anyone come across any problems of this sort before so i can try changing the sensors or possibly changing wiring. |

Not seen your members thread, but have you tried the ISCV? Sams Escort had a dodgy one and it done just that, wouldn't idle properly, put your foot to the floor and it would bog down and splutter, eventually picking up better but still a bit spluttery. It's located on the inlet manifold so may be your problem ![]() But it may also be either of the things you mentioned. Do the cheapest first which is giving the MAF a clean. If that doesn't work, still bear in mind that the MAF may be buggered. Your TPS may have gone aswell, but not as common as the ISCV or MAF I'd say. |
