Post subject:  Upgraded brakes on 1.3 mk3.5... what is there to choose from
Basically, i was wondering what brake setup i can use on my 1.3 mk3.5 fiesta. Reason being, is because i love the look of the drilled/grooved disks. Also, i would like something that brakes slightly better! Mine are pretty good.. but i would like something that is better lol.

I would rather have something that is a straight swap because its easier! Also i have 15" wheels on my car :)

If anyone could come up with a list at all, it would be good :) I had a quick search, alot seemed like there was some modifications needed to the brackets :(

Are they solids on the 1.3 like my 1.1 ones were??

You could fit Si/Ghia/RS1800/RST calipers/discs/pads which are vented and will make a difference.

Or another cheap mod would be to get some mondeo mk1/2 calipers from the scrappers, fit discs and pads, these are slightly bigger than the normal setup (si etc) and made a big difference, and still fit under 15's

If you wanted to go mental you could fit cossie brakes etc, but I wouldnt see the point.

Mondeo brakes are cheap and better than the best as standard discs ford did on the fiesta :thumbsup:

Hmm fair nuff, not checked.

All I know is I fitted mondeo 1.8TD/2.0ltr ones because they were slightly bigger and got them cheaper than replacing the discs/pads :lol:

I'm fitting 300mm brakes soon on the cheap :thumbsup:
