ive just bought a n plate mk3.5 fiesta si to replace my very rottern rs1800 project
basically im goning to swap the good stuff over to the si.
im going to use the rs1800 engine because ive put a new timing belt, water pump and clutch on it
so is it easier to swap the pas stuff off the si engine or swap the pas steering rack for the non pas steering rack from the rs?

imo if you want an easy job use the pas stuff off the 1.6 engine, leaving the pas rack etc on the Si, so its a case of dropping the engine in

or..

replace/swap the non pas stuff over from the RS, which takes longer and could turn out to be a pain!

i'd go for the dead easy option myself as i'm a lazy so and so

But tbh, i agree with him

definatly put just put the pas pump onto the rs lump, all the holes are still on the block so will be no problem to do. do it once the engine is bolted up to the mount in the bay though or its a pain to try to get the engine in.
