Sounds like lower arms. When mine were bad the car would change direction when you put the accelerator down, and go opposite direction when you let off the accelerator. Have a look at them and see if there are any split bushes! ![]() |

yep definately lower arms, I had this when I got oil on the bush and the rubber went soft. Felt like the wheels wanted to do their own thing!! |

yup id say deffo lower arms. check the bushes and see if they are obviously buggerd lol and also if you have access to some tracking guadges, stick them on set the allignment correct, drive the car down a road and back and if the tracking is pissed again then its the lower arms ![]() |

If it has happened over night then I would also check the balance weight on the driveshaft. This had loosened off on my old Fiesta and moved so when I accelerated the car pulled one way and when I backed off it came back again! Just something to bear in mind if it ain't the lower arms ![]() Paul ![]() |

You got power steering? If not it could be the universal joint in the steering column that is worn. Cost me £30 to get Ford to change it years back, so the part must be pretty cheap!! If you have power steering then it requires a new column IIRC, which won't be quite so cheap ![]() Paul ![]() |
