		<td colspan="2"><hr class="sep" />I was driving down the road the other day like normal, pulled away, went from 1st to 2nd, then tried putting it into 3rd, and it wouldnt go over the middle bit - its like something is blocking it.<br /><br />Like this.. the red line represents where its being blocked.<br /><br /><img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b30/DannyCussen/gb.png" alt="Image" /><br /><br />So now, i only have 1st and 2nd gear. I thought it might just be the gear linkage under the car, but its not because i disconnected it, moved the gearstick a full 360 degrees in the car, and to a pair of pliers to try and change gear from underneith.. but it wasnt budging as you can see in this vid.<br /><br /><br /><br />So its deffo something inside the gearbox, i was thinking it could be this? The syncro ring for 3rd, 4th, 5th gear (see pic). But then again, if its not going past that place on the pic above, and i cant change gear while the car isnt running, could it be something on the selector mechanism?  <br /><br /><img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b30/DannyCussen/sync.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br />Any help will do!

Sorry, but, do you actually know where the diff is?!<br /><br />Something is wedged somewhere along the line or selector forks are totally fooked <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">i</span></span> would have thought.<br /><br />Can you get into gears while the engine is off?<br /><br />Happened to me a few years back, it freed up but i didnt trust it so changed the box anyway.

		<td colspan="2"><hr class="sep" />Selector fork retaining clips have probably been spat out, thus stopping the selector fork from rising enough to go into other gears. Happened to my Pulsar gearbox. <img src="./images/smilies/smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /> It's a lot easier when you see the internals.<br /><br />I doubt it's the syncro ring on it's own, but may have some damage to it which wouldn't have helped. <img src="./images/smilies/smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><br /><br />As JD said though, just get another box, hardly the rarest thing to find and not worth the cost of getting it fixed. Mine cost £120 for new clips and syncro replaced (I got the syncro for nothing though otherwise it would've been a few hundred quid from Nissan)!
