Sounds like you lot are sticking a new clutch in then giving it death within the first few hundred miles.

ok i now have used on my 2.0 converted si a luk 1.6 16v si clutch and a escort standard clutch from a 1.8 gti and they have both lasted 500miles between them im thinking the clamping force isnt enough what have you guys used and yes i will occasionally drive it carelessly when its warm but not excessive plz help i dont want to spend £300 on a ap race style clutch |

i had exactly the same problem within a 1000miles with a LUC clutch think they a bit to cheep!! i got fed up with laying on a drive fitting 2 clutch's in a month so splashed out on a £250 HILIX clutch its done me well since but cheaper things are about like but neva tried them. |

LUK or LUC? LUK are good clutches, if your shredding them either somethings not right! |

@ sisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisisi:- how did you manage that  when my 2.0 went in, as far as i know my clutch that went in was over 100k , i then had it replaced with a black diamond clutch before fitp( i just wanted a new one ) and its been fine, i give it death  ps still on my 130k+ 1.6 gearbox too
