Just wondered if some of the gearbox gurus could tell me if this gearbox will fit in my Si
Its from a mk4 Escort Diesel van and im planning on fitting it with my 2.0 engine to increase MPG on the motorways

Yeah it should, as the starter motor should mount at thefront as your Si one does. I was thinking about this for my xr3i mk4 |

Is the above gearbox still a BC box or is it a IB5 box ? Does the starter mount on the front still ? Scott |

Cheers Paul The photos make more sense now but as long as this is the same as the one you have fitted i see no real reason why it wont fit my 2.0 engine Hopefully be able to collect it at the weekend and get on with fitting my 2.0 Still cant decide whether to go for throttle bodies first though and then drop it all in as one When you fitted your diesel gearbox did you manage to keep the original gearbox cradle or did you have to change that to the diesel item as well ? The cradles are the same for the fiesta's... I think I currently have a diesel cradle tho.. only because I couldnt be arsed to fit the one that was on the RS box
