ive no idea what induction pipework i have on my 2litre conversion but as the picture it looks quite small and wondering if its restricting the power, what is every one else using? ![]() |

thats the k£n tubing that comes with a 1.6 si induction kit i have hered that these offer the best power unless u try getting a custom samco one made (expensive) stick with it m8 they work well |

sure i heard once that the K&N pipe can suck together, i may be completely wrong on that tho ![]() you could get a ERST cross over pipe and use that with some extra pipe work like mine ![]() other than that its down the custom piping route |

I tried the ERST Crossover, but when i had it on the Rollers it restricted airflow, good for Boosted Applications but not so for N/A ![]() ![]() I then had a K&N Typhoon induction kit from a CTR, which fitted and has a bigger bore. Which worked fine! ![]() ![]() Would be easy to build your own! ![]() |

There is no way the turbo crossover was to restrictive. No chance it could build up enough pressure ![]() |

Walla, thought i had a picture ERST on left, CTR on Right ![]() Remember Boosted are pushing the air through, but NA is having to suck it through, so makes more sense to have a larger piping (but not to large), CTR piping was about the same size at the 2.0l TB! ![]() |

If its fine for the rst, it'll be fine for 130 bhp at 1bar as the vacuum produced by the combustion process draws the air in. Thats how MAP reaches 1 bar at WOT. The reason your latter one was tourquer was due to the angle reduction in the pipework, not the pipe bore ![]() |

I made one from a few bits of pipe originally from a focus induction kit which cost bout 30 on ebay from usa. ![]() Seemed to work ok. Bonnet clearance becomes an issue without bonnet spacers though. |
