i had a split on the hose going to the oil breather as i sprayed some engine de-greaser near the area and the car started revvin. as this is flamable it was being sucked in the split and being burnt. bit of luck really

hi there i have just finished putting in a 2.0l engine into my si, all was great, fired up first time no problem but was a bit rough. i could hear this hissing noise and investigated. there is a nipple on the inlet manifold right hand side if you are stood in front of the car. put my finger on it and run smoothly. my question is what pipe goes on this nipple and what does it connect to as i have no spare pipes and connectors??? many thanks paul |

that goes to the egr solenoid on the bulkhead m8 sounds liek the pipe has come off |

its not the one going to the master cylinder, its on the plate that the injectors sit on then the inlet manifold bolts onto. might go to ford tomorrow and see what they say as they have full sets of drawings for the engine |

Thats goes to the breather on the front of the block, dont use it without that connected please! |

Did you find out what it was? it sounds to me like its the connector for the vacuum hose for the fuel pressure regulator? |
