i recently run my fiesta almost dry of petrol and the next time ive filled up the car, it runs very jolty, doesnt rev properly and the exhaust makes all sorts of spluttering noises:(. After i have drive it for about a mile it seems almost normal again. ive changed the fuel filter incase loads of crap from the bottom of the tank blocked it up but has hardly made a difference? any ideas?

Use some redex or similar.

You could have crap stuck in the fuel lines etc

was new petrol just bit of a coinsedence as i had run it so low and now it splutters and feels like its not gettin enough petrol through. lacks in power, just a bit werid after i drive a mile it seems almost fine again like it has to warm up or something bit confusing :S

change your fuel filter. quick and cheap job. better to do it anyway, unless you know it's been changed in the past year or so.
