I have decided that its my injectors making my car run shite. Its running rich, very rich, was popping all way back from FITP today, and cained lots of petrol doing about 65-70mph all the way

sooooooooo

Can I clean injectors, or do something other than redex to clean them?
As I cant afford to get some ultrasonic shite done with them yet lol - but does anyone know of anywhere to get them done, eg. post them off? and how much it does cost?

well.
have you bought a can/pot of injector cleaner yet and run it off that?

you can do it so:
disconnect fuel pipes

get a bit of pipe

connect to where your input/intake fuel line goes on the engine/inlet manifold.
put other end into the can /pot of injector cleaner.

put the return end into a can/spare tub.
(alternativly put return back into can where intake is coming from).

start and run engine on the injector cleaner/very clean fuel.

cut engine off after few seconds.

repeat.

pop a tiny bit of OIL (edit)down each cylinder to ensure piston rings are nicely lubed up.

cant help any other way - enless you have LOADS of redex and a tiny bit of petrol (with a clean filter)..
can you not lay your hands on some old injectors *dont know your engine* either from say a 1.6 or another 2.0 or whatever?

I cant see how dirty injectors would increase fuel consumption.

All crap in the injector would do is ruin the spray patten possibly leading to bad atomisation. Unless of corse the dirt in them is that bad that its stopping the injector closing properly..... but if thats the case you would have running issues too
