| Post subject: | effin bugger rear light |
as title, i'm having aggro with the rear light on the passenger side of the escy  it just lets water in! i've siliconed the seal to the car and around the top of the light and refitted it and it still insists on pissing me off and it bit me and cut my finger, and due to health and safety i have to wear a plaster  any ideas? or give up and get a new one! |

Just get a new one! You could end up being there for ages, especially if there's the slightest moisture still inside the light. It's doable, and I'm sure some people just happen to get it right first time, but it's one of them jobs where you could be at it for ages

get a seal from scrappy get some cleaner and wipe all the dirt off round the seal and retight the bolts up jobs a good one |

done that  took the seal off, cleaned it, siliconed it to the car, cleaned the light and tightened it up over the seal and no different no comments on ford quality please

it needs a new seal if that dont cure it check the boot seal |

but its only that light, and the bulb holder is wet so i dont thinkits the boot seal

is there a small crack in the light or any small holes have a look m8 also check for little rust patches water might be getting thrugh due to rot |

no idea all i did was take light out resilicone and its dry i think if it rains again i'll find out
