Hopefully some one can help me, i have a 1.6 16v si and the car seems to be struggling when pulling away no matter how many revs i give it but it eventually does with some strange whurring noise comming from up front and my clutch is completely off so it not me pressing that down it just doesnt seem to have any pull at all, i also went for a short drive (15miles or so) yesterday and on arriving back home all i could smell was the smell of burning rubber coming from my engine bay.

Any ideas are extremely appreciated.

How High is your Biting point? Your clutch could be slipping if its making a funky smell!

Yep is the original item. Most of my driving is just around town unless i need anything further a field which isnt too often. and its nearly at 84k.
How much am i looking at for a new clutch?

£40-50 for the clutch and £80 to fit. That's what I paid many moons ago when I had my Si. Rough price of course, and depends where you go.

Or do it yourself, engine, clutch and gearboxes are simple on these.
