I have a 1.6 festa si and it is lowered 60mm on g-max springs and dampers and is sitting on 195/45 r15s and the tyres only last about 1000miles before being illegal.
I have been told that it is either to do with the camber of the front wheels or the tracking, can the camber b altered on a mk3 festa if so what does it involve? or would i save time and money by just getting the tracking done and does tyre wear improve by just having the tracking done?

its worth having your tracking checked and adjusted as per ford recommendations..

doesn't look like poor inflation/over inflation, could also be the wheel weights incorrectly setup/balanced.. are there any stick on weights either on the rim (around outside edge) or inside (stick on ones) ?

Either way its deff. worth getting all four tyres re-balanced now/after had new tyres (they should do it for free when changing tyres)..

I suppose you could have worn shock absorbers/bushes which would result in dynamic tyre wear (?)

And tracking is probably about 15mins-half hour work to do it all properly, so get it into a garage before you buy them new tyres mate..

As for the rear wheels im not sure if they have any adjustment at all.

Had problems with mine ages ago, went through about 8 front tyres in one month, found out in the end it was the rubber on the bottom front suspension arms had snapped and worn away.

I'm pretty sure the camber and toe-in are done automatically when the tracking is adjusted (by a garage).

Ive just found out i had the same problem. After driving round for a couple of weeks with the tyres screetching round every corner even if you hit it at like 20mph. Thought nothing of it and just put it down to cheap tyres, but after letting my old man drive it i found out that my tracking was out so i took it to my uncles garage and found out that the tracking was off the scale so we got it on the ramp and realised the control arm was shagged so i got a new one and its drives like a dream. So if i was you mate id check the control arm
