| Post subject: | Battery Leaking ? |
Was cleaning me engine today with engine cleaner getting rid of about 4 years of dirt and noticed that the battery tray had like a lime scale effect on it like the battery acid had been leaking and running onto the tray. I run the engine with the hood open and noticed that the battery was slightly leaking from the top. Problem is its a self maintained calcuim battery (cost about ?60), so is it a fault with the battery itself or is the alternator over charging the battery ? I connected a battery tester to it and the reading was telling me that the alternator was ok and not overcharging ? |

battery is about 3 years old, its a halfords calcuim battery. |

could just be a dodgy seal on the battery i suppose? if i ts a sealed for life jobby then i really have no idea |

id jst get new one .. or see wat halesfords say? maybe try different battery |
