And the bottom screw is a beeeyatch to get to if you're removing it. Try unplugging it first, cleaning the contacts, and seeing how it goes from there

my fiesta used to cut out, and again with me mostly on corners or roundabouts and cause the engine cuts out so does the powersteering on a corner a bit dangerous! but i changed the fuel filter and since then it has not done it once i recon the reason y it did it was cause i went very low on fuel once and the car might have been chucking in old dirty fuel which caused the engine to cut out but i'm not sure that was the reason y it kept on cutting out but i recon u should change the fuel filter and see if helps
i have also been told that if u disconnect the battery for a few hours it can re set the computer in the car or somthing which may help but i didn't try it so not sure if it helps but probably worth a try
