well i got in my car this afteroon and it wouldn't start :cry:

, some how she sprang into life and i drove the 10 min journey back to my friends place.

i parked up and tried to start her aagain and no joy, so i got underneath her too see what the hell was going on

only to find the two connections on the starter motor had come off :red:

,i some how dont think i tightened them very well :look:

, i which i think was breaking the circuit( am i right

) so in need to get another nut and make sure its tight on there this time and recharge my battery.

somehow my starter motor cover has disappeared does this matter

well my car has been running at lumpy and idling like shit, i sourced another MAF sensor (cheers Matt), connected it up and it still idles like shit, i drove to town today and as i was trying to pull out of a junction it start idling irraticlly ( rev counter was going up and down between 500 and 1000rpm) it did this twice and cut out 3 three times

i have sprayed carb cleaner down the throttlle body to try and see if it will clean the ISCV but i dont think that is enough or is it

i think jd mentioned something about vacum hoses, can someone do a checklist to make sure that i can make sure that they are all connected

oh and my exhaust squeeks any ideas?

My fiesta used to do that, ideling all over the place and cutting out randomly.. i remember trying plugs, carb cleaner, different maf, somethin else i cant remember.. eventually it stopped

cheers for the reply paul, i have brand new plugs, i have tried carb cleaner, new MAF,i will take the ISCV off tomorrow evening and clean it

can anyone suggest anything else

remove throttle body, then IIRC you might have to remove fuel feed pipe. then just undo the 6/8mm bolts
