try looking in your yellow pages for, unipart, euro car parts etc.

like everyone said just take your time and with things like the oil filter and such take it out of the box and check that it looks the same as the one you will be removing first.

£100 for a service at a garage sounds pretty good tbh. autodata says they should take about 2 hours plus parts

fair play lol, that was a full service to be fair which i won't need since i had a full service last year. went to ford today... £76 quid for just the parts for the service! :O coudlnt believe it. so went to the landrover garage round the corner from mine, he's ordering what i need (oil, fuel filter, spark plugs and what not) said wouldnt be more than 20 quid which is much better. will be hammering it on wednesday. thanks brit fez, will check!

Reading back, when you mentioned Ford, I said to just go to a local parts dealer. I think I deleted the "don't go to Ford as they will rape you" part so as not to incite a riot :lol:

But nah, for servicing, never go to a main dealer. There's a place by me called MidWest and they're cheap as chips for parts. You'll have somewhere like that by you, it's just a case of finding them. You'll get used to it all once you've done your first service and want to tackle more jobs :D

So anyway, got your tools ready for tomorrow yet?

Sockets, spanners, spark plug remover, oil filter remover, sledge hammer...?

should be ok! going to my mates to do it (nice roomy driveway) and he did mechanics so im guessing he will have everything lol! best bloody had or its a trip to halfrauds. will be going to get the stuff for the service shortly to see what the damage is!
