what would cause my car to go, 'cough...cough...splutter...' then die and refuse to fire. getting fuel, no spark,
dead ECU?
dead crank sensor?
changed coilpack, didnt cure it.
checked fuel cut off switch, no better.

i'm assuming it's got compression, no reason to suggest other wise.
when we had a quick look last night it wasnt sparking.
says to me crank sensor or ecu

sounds like a crank sensor or a dead coil pack, but whats the imobiliser doing is the lill red light flashing or not coming on at all ?

sorted, now replaced my 3-piece crank sensor with a 1 piece one.
just running a tad hot now for some reason, changed 'stat but doesnt seem to have cured it

it would appear to be fixed. changed alternator and battery for m original ones. i knew alternator was dodgy, and battery was 4 year old and had been sat around for 3 years. i fitted these to see if it would cure previous fault. temp seem's to be sitting about right now
