Hi Guys,
I am piecing some of my parts together for the 2.0l conversion and I have came accross the throttle body and inlet manifold. I have a 1.8 inlet and a 2.0litre throttle body how ever the side which mates to the inlet has a big hole for the air yet and a little hole for something else Im not sure its like a round alloy thing that bolts on below. Anyway when you put the two together the little hole is blocked up how do you overcome this?

Thanks in advanced
Liam

can you take a pic of which way you have your TB fitted?

when you have the gasket on(paper one, not the steel 2.0 mondy one) the S type groove on the TB near theTPS is where the air flows to the ISCV

the 3 holes under where the TB is mounted is where the ISCV goes, when the throttle is closed it allows the car to idle, i'm sure someone more technical than i am can tell you more :red:

Well I have brought alot of my parts for the 2.0litre conversion but the most best buy so far is my ST150 brakes got the lot for £100 with the car only doing under 3000miles! :insanity:

Hopefully next month there will be another 2litre on that register :D

I havent been out in the garage for a session in a while due to work commitments :x (although I cant play with out work!) however this weekend has seen the engine pretty much painted, re-gasketed  , and various other bits done. After spending a good day on it and repairing my mates mk2 esccy I was tired and clumsy enough to drop a bolt and washer into a cylinder at which point I was headbutting walls  . Eventually after a major headache and some clever farting abouting I got them out! Anyways heres some pics so far, still more bling to go on the engine tho

O its just the old mondy one, I have put a new filter on it from the 1.4si which is shorter, I forgot to mention these pics were taken a bit early really as I had not completely finished it
