Need some new brakes and I was wondering if the si just has standard mk3 brakes. I asking because parts I bought in the past never fitted.

Also which brakes fit on the si without modifying them?

are we talking front or rear here

fronts are or should be 240mm venteds

rear should be 200 or 220mm drums..i think but im open to correction

for no mods bolt on...the 260mm setup from the higher spec escorts will bolt on... callipers req from donor vehicle the same goes for the next options

ST150 brakes will bolt on and all you have to do is drill the carrier from 10 to 12mm...should only take a few mins... then your up to a 278mm (i think..maybe 280) which is more than enough for a fiesta :P .......but you will have to go to a 15 inch wheel

Escort cosworth and 4x4 saff cos
278mm...again..more than enough braking!!

bolt on also...but spacing of calliper needed and longer bolts... 15 inch wheels min also req


you can put discs on the back if you really really want..but it does involve mods...and not really needed due to having little weight at the back! but it makes it less nose dive happy if your using big brakes on the front

Went to order some new brakes and was offered solid discs however I stated that I need some vented.

The only vented they had were xr2i. Will these fit without changing the caliper?

Could anyone recommend a good place aquire the right brakes, (are there any on ebay)?
