the extractors are very good but not for real tight stuff as they snap, as you found out.
do what you can to get the bit out, try tapping it clockwise to "undo" it and get it out.
once out your best bet as you cant drill through would be to drill it as big as you can without touching the thread and try undoing it by tapping it with a flat head screw driver, it sometimes works, if it dont, run a tap through it to clear the thread.

if all else fails, drill it right out and tap a slight bigger thread in it, just means you have a bigger bolt there than the rest
