alright guys, i have si with 2.0ltr mondeo engine in. series 1.

when i start the old girl up and its not alaways when i first start it (e.g cold) but sometimes when its warm to, it will run to about 4000rpm and there is tremendoues loss. between 4000rpm and 6thou.

i sometimes need to run it for like 30mins then you can feel it kick in if you have your foot down asiff their isnt something quite firing correctly. i have no idea what this can be and its alaways done it since ive had it.

so if i want to take it up santapod i would need to rag it up and down the road to make sure it was running right.

hope this makes sense and i can get some answers.

it looses so much power that i can only JUST crawl past a 1.6 quicksilver and im gutted considering its a 2.0ltr

if it feels like its a brick wall at 4000 revs then its a collapsed cat 8-)

, i would suggest removing or replacing it with a decat 8-)

ur the man your the man. lol . well my c.a.t is coming off at weekend anyways. or for now just smash the guts out of it. this probally could be the problem. not enuff pressure or woteva going through and as its an old car ans sdtandard cat im sure its gotta go. cheers dude

probably the MAF sensor, have you tried cleaning it?
