Right, I am currently building up a 2.0L Zetec engine for an Si conversion, and have become stumped over the following issues...
1. I am hoping to put an RS1800 clutch into the conversion with the standard 1600 flywheel, but was just wondering whether anyone could confirm if the 1600 flywheel is the same size (Diameter) of the RS1800 one?
2. I am changing the water pump and oil pump as a matter of course, and have just been quoted £60.04 from Ford for genuine water pump, and £147.37 for genuine 2.0 Oil pump

! I wanted to use Ford parts so I know I am getting a quality item that is less likely to let me down over cheaper alternatives. But £147.37 for an Oil pump is a bit excessive IMO! Inspected the original 2.0 oil pump last night when I took it off and there is no major problems with it/damage/scoring etc.
Could anyone advise me as to whether it would be worth paying the £147.37 from Ford for a new Oil Pump as I don't know the exact history/mileage as the original, or would an aftermarket item be of good enough quality to do the job sufficiently for a number of years?
All comments welcome guys, thanks,
Regards, Dave
