since having put my escort 1.8 gti engine in i havent had many serious problems...couple of things not connecting properly etc.

but i have what i think is a serious problem:

over the last month it has started to blow out alot of thick black smoke when i put my foot down. not only that but im putting approx 2 - 3 litres in it every 12ish days which is insane. ive obviously gathered its burning a sh*t load of oil

but i cant work out why it is doing it.

Please can someone help me

i never thought it could be injectors cuz of the amount of oil its burning...ill try it tho cuz i have a spare set in my garage

i thought it might be some sort of seals somewhere...ive never seen an engine drink so much oil before it drinks nearly as much oil as petrol :lol:

its not good as its affecting performance now as it keeps getting worse

black smoke = unburnt fuel
blue smoke = burnt oil

if its black smoke, then it is overfuelling, and needs to be tuned leaner.

ill get it tuned to see if it makes a diffrence...do you know why it is taking so much oil so quickly...what would be the reason for this...i mean alot of oil now tho.
