I have a problem (well sort of) with my 1.6 Si .

At the moment it seems to be using a bit of oil nothing excessive but no visible leaks and the only time you see any out the pipe is as you change gear when nailing it . and that is just a quick blast out the exhaust pipe .

Someone said it might be valve stem seals ?

Any other suggestions guys !!!!!!!!!

could be something sticking top end in engine like you say.

well when u rag it, it will burn oil a lot quicker my car does that but if i don't rag it doesn't burn no way near as much over a long period, my mate has a seat leon cupra r, even his car burns oil because he rags it a lot

dont worry about it, my '2i drinks oil with 40k on the clock, why? cuz i drive it with no respect to the poor cvh.

we forget that the zetec E came into production some 15 years ago, it is by modern standers an old engine, just service it regulary.
