Right i want to give my car an oil change, i bought the oil and new oil filter today. i have never changed oil before, been reading up on the online haynes manual and they say that you need a oil filter removal tool? to get it off, do i need this or can i just unscrew it another way? also what is the best way to get at it, from the underneath? Also any tips on doing an oil change would be appreciated.

If your going to get an oil filter remover, get one with a belt, not a chain, as the chain ones are annoying. Personaly, everytime ive changed my oil ive ended up putting a screwdriver through the filter and using that to twist it off. Abit messy though!

ok thanks, just finished doing the oil change, used a screwdriver, was a bit messy :) fuel filter next.

I think i got the basic idea of how to change it, gota read up about it abit more, something about depressurising the fuel system or sumthing? hope its straight forward enough :?

mine was changed when i did my 2.0 conversion and my car was sat for a 2 weeks+, i took the fuse for the fuel pump out and afer 2 weeks it still pissed fuel out :look: , must have done something wrong :lol: :lol:
