Breaker bar didn't work, the heads are now rounded off

Got some new ones from Ford today (cost Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£1.15 each!!!

) and going to try welding a bolt on top of the old ones at the weekend and getting them out that way.

sounds familar ??? gave mine plenty of plus -gas (careful of the surroundings).. better then wd 40 more penertrating left and then loosened them with impact driver and snugest 6 sided socket i could find . finished off with wrecking bar . give a hint of copper slip when refitting . like i should have done the first time round

Finally got the bastads off on Sunday afternoon. We hammered on a 12mm (or might have been 13mm) socket and breaker bar and cracked them. I also managed to scrape my rear XR arch on my mates garage door as I drove it in :cry:

So happy I got the brakes done at last - not so happy about the paintwork, it'll take a few hours work when the weather gets better to sort it out

-just buy snapon or mac sockets then? this way you can get through as many as you like and the lifetime guarantee just keeps on coming
