the Si has developed an annoying issue -

sidelights work fine - but when you switch on to dipped beam they are dimmer then they sidelights :doh: :lol:

main beam works fine as do fog lights -

Question is - Alternator issue? or stalk issue?

Sounds more like an earth problem dude. Check all your wires that go into the multiplugs and the earthing points.

Yeah, I know mate, had the same with the Pulsar. The plugs that go onto the main headlight bulbs were nearly 20 years old and the earth for the bulb was corroded and not connecting properly, making the bulb not come on properly. You can buy the plugs for a couple of quid and just rewire them on. Hopefully it's as simple as that.
