when reversing, if the car is cold, sounds like there is a crunching/grinding noise, also does it when im braking down a hill in first gear.

im pretty sure there is a leak from the gearbox, but im not sure as how to check the levels, so if somebody could enlighten me, i'd be very grateful.

Mine always grinds into reverse, at local cruises or down the local meets ive heard such phrases as

' cant find it grind it '

' going to come back for your reverse gear later '



Make sure you dont try and put it in reverse while the car is rolling, stop, engage neutral, engage first, engage reverse.
